Chelsea need to get Landon Emenalo\u2019s first loan move right and not waste a year of his development.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was part of Xabi Alonso\u2019s<\/a> squad for Chelsea\u2019s<\/a> pre-season tour and impressed in the 6-4 win against Western Sydney Wanderers. <\/p>\n

Yes, there was some rawness at times, but that is to be expected of an 18-year-old still developing.<\/p>\n

In general, Emenalo<\/a> looks like a really talented youngster, who is now set to take the next step in his career.<\/p>\n

Celtic loan could be perfect for Landon Emenalo<\/h2>\n

It has been reported that Emenalo could join Celtic<\/a> on loan this summer, which makes plenty of sense.<\/p>\n

Perhaps some Chelsea fans would like to see the defender at a Premier League<\/a> club or Championship outfit, but Celtic Park could be the perfect environment for him.<\/p>\n

With Celtic expected to win every game and challenge for all the titles in Scotland, Emenalo will learn how to play under pressure, something the England Under-19 international will have to face at Chelsea if he ever breaks into their first team.<\/p>\n

Another benefit of joining Celtic is getting to train alongside Kieran Tierney each day. Tierney would be the perfect mentor for Emenalo.<\/p>\n

They are both left-backs, so Tierney will be able to teach the Chelsea academy<\/a> product a thing or two about the position. Tierney is also a very experienced defender who has played for Arsenal, earned more than 50 caps for Scotland and won trophies.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, he is an individual who is in a position to help put Emenalo on the right path.<\/p>\n

As for Chelsea in the upcoming season, Pep Chavarria and Jorrel Hato will be their main two left-back options. Chelsea confirmed Chavarria\u2019s arrival<\/a> on Wednesday, with the Spaniard and Hato now set to battle it out for a place in Alonso\u2019s starting XI.<\/p>\n

In a back three, Marco Palestra could also be an option for the left wing-back position.<\/p>\n
