The next couple of weeks are expected to look like a fire sale at Chelsea. After 11 new signings and \u00a3350m spent, the Blues are expected to wave goodbye to a handful of unwanted players.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues have already sold five players permanently this summer, bringing in around \u00a3150m. Plenty of others have left on loan, with Alejandro Garnacho\u2019s loan to Villa expected to become a permanent deal.<\/p>\n

Benoit Badiashile has been pencilled in for a medical at Napoli<\/a> on Tuesday, but Chelsea<\/a> have so much more selling to do. On Saturday, Liam Delap, Tosin Adarabioyo and Nicolas Jackson were absent.<\/p>\n

With the deadline drawing nearer, don\u2019t be surprised to see a handful of players leave on loan with options included in their deals. One without an option to have already left Chelsea is Filip Jorgensen<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Filip Jorgensen makes Strasbourg debut against Newcastle United<\/h2>\n

Jorgensen has replaced Mike Penders between the sticks at Strasbourg, just months after being picked over Robert Sanchez by Liam Rosenior. He is one of two Chelsea players to have joined Strasbourg.<\/p>\n

Genesis Antwi has also joined Strasbourg with one loan left. Jorgensen, a \u00a320m signing from Villarreal in 2024, also links up with Ben Chilwell and other former Blues stars Diego Moreira and Mathis Amougou.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Jorgensen made his debut just six days after completing a dry loan to Strasbourg. The shot-stopper was even handed the captain\u2019s armband on debut, as the Dane completed all 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

Strasbourg went to St. James\u2019 Park and won on penalties, after a 1-1 draw in normal time. Wearing the armband, Jorgensen saved Newcastle newbie Aladji Bamba\u2019s penalty to secure the win for Strasbourg.<\/p>\n

Jorgensen instantly becomes part of Strasbourg leadership group<\/h2>\n

Such is the way that Strasbourg has been run under BlueCo\u2019s ownership; the Ligue 1 side boasts the youngest squad in France\u2019s top tier. Chilwell is the oldest in the squad, and he\u2019s not even in his thirties.<\/p>\n

The gap between Chilwell and the rest of the squad is considerable, too. Behind 29-year-old Chilwell, there are a few 24-year-olds. Jorgensen is one of those, making him one of the oldest in the squad.<\/p>\n

That, and one of the more experienced, too. Jorgensen has now played senior football in three separate countries \u2013 Spain, England and now France. With 121 club games under his belt, he is now a leader.<\/p>\n

If Jorgensen can have the same kind of impact that Penders had between the sticks at Strasbourg, he will be a roaring success. A good season in France, and who knows, Jorgensen could win his place at Chelsea.<\/p>\n
