Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez remains a target for Manchester City in the final two weeks of the transfer window.<\/p>\n

City will decide whether to try to sign him before Deadline Day, after opting not to make an offer before last week’s cut-off <\/a>set by Chelsea.<\/a><\/p>\n

Fernandez can no longer automatically leave Stamford Bridge for the \u00a3120m terms agreed with his representatives in May.<\/p>\n

The deadline for that passed at 5pm on Friday – but the transfer window is still open until Tuesday September 1.<\/p>\n

Fernandez came on to boos from sections of the Chelsea crowd in the 3-1 friendly win over Real Sociedad on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Argentina World Cup finalist was suspended for two matches towards the end of last season after casting doubt over his future while on international duty.<\/p>\n

That was amid reports of interest from Real Madrid, who subsequently ruled out a move for him in early July via an official club statement.<\/p>\n

Man City remain in Bouaddi talks<\/h3>\n

Meanwhile, City remain in talks with Lille over a deal for Morocco international midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi <\/strong>as they pursue replacements for Rodri <\/strong>and Tijjani Reijnders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Lille are understood to be looking for around \u00a385m to sell Bouaddi and talks between the clubs were confirmed by their head coach Davide Ancelotti at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Reijnders is set to join Saudi Arabian side Al Qadsiah for around \u00a351m.<\/p>\n

The Spain World Cup winner and former Ballon d’Or holder, who helped City to four Premier League titles and a Champions League triumph, is expected to sign a four-year contract.<\/p>\n

The 30-year-old had one year left on his contract and while Man City wanted him to stay and sign an extension, Barcelona’s third offer proved to be too good to turn down. He has agreed a four-year deal with Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Last week, Barcelona had an initial offer in the region of \u00a340m knocked back<\/a>, returning with a \u00a355m bid<\/a>, which was also rejected.<\/p>\n
