Chelsea are not done yet, despite spending over \u00a3250 million this summer transfer window. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea<\/a>\u2019s summer rebuild under Xabi Alonso has been an expensive one, headlined by the \u00a3120 million arrival of Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa. Despite pulling in over \u00a3130 million through sales like Andrey Santos and Marc Cucurella, their net spend remains a heavy burden. <\/p>\n

Alonso is now focused on trimming a bloated first-team squad that reached over 40 players at one point. <\/p>\n

With Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap, and Mykhailo Mudryk set for moves before the deadline, Chelsea find themselves noticeably thin up front. <\/p>\n

Chelsea tipped for late Marcus Rashford move<\/h2>\n

Miguel Delaney\u2019s Inside Football Newsletter is claiming that insiders believe that Chelsea or Arsenal could make late moves for Man United star Marcus Rashford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, any Chelsea move could hinge on Ollie Watkins going from Aston Villa and Nicolas Jackson moving.<\/p>\n

\u2018A potential merry-go-round that has been raised by club insiders this week:\u00a0 Ollie Watkins eventually leaves Aston Villa, for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, allowing Unai Emery to bring in Chelsea\u2019s Nicolas Jackson \u2013 although they may have competition from Atletico Madrid \u2013 and Chelsea go in for Marcus Rashford.<\/p>\n

\u2018Yes, it\u2019s that stage of the window, and this one is expected to really get frantic. As stated in previous newsletters, there\u2019s been a bit of a lull post-World Cup due to pieces needing to be put in place but this final week is all what it\u2019s for. Things start to give.<\/p>\n

\u2018Chelsea themselves may have competition for Rashford \u2013 if they do actually go there \u2013 if Arsenal (a) actually opt to move for a left forward and (b) Kenan Yildiz isn\u2019t available. Mikel Arteta does like Rashford, and Manchester United could do with another sale, if not quite to Chelsea\u2019s level, as they complete the signing of Carlos Baleba.\u2019<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford carries a risk with Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Taking Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United is a high-risk move for Chelsea, driven largely by his eye-watering wages. Pulling over \u00a3300,000 a week, fitting him into a structured pay scale isn\u2019t straightforward. <\/p>\n

He brings a history of patchy form and off-field focus issues, making his consistency a real gamble for a squad building discipline under Xabi Alonso. <\/p>\n

Yet his quality is clear. His sharp performances during England\u2019s World Cup run proved he still turns games on the biggest stage, but finding the balance between that explosive potential and his sheer cost remains Chelsea\u2019s ultimate dilemma.<\/p>\n
