Operating alongside Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro<\/a> in Xabi Alonso\u2019s attack, the 24-year-old caused problems for Fulham\u2019s backline all evening with his movement and skill. <\/p>\n

He crowned a sharp 82-minute display by sweeping home Maxence Lacroix\u2019s cross to put Chelsea back in front just before half-time. It was exactly the kind of confident performance needed to start justifying the massive \u00a3117 million price tag Chelsea paid Aston Villa for him this summer.<\/p>\n

He backed up that playmaking spark with absolute quality across the board, racking up an impressive 0.64 xG across three shots and completing every single one of his dribbles. <\/p>\n

Whether taking four touches inside the box, completing two line-breaking passes, or spraying four balls into the final third, he controlled the tempo. And he matched that attacking flair with grit, winning eight of his 11 duels, putting in two tackles, and making five ball recoveries.<\/p>\n

Cole Palmer loves playing with Morgan Rogers<\/h2>\n

Cole Palmer also got his name on the scoresheet against Fulham, netting Chelsea\u2019s third and picking up the Man of the Match award. <\/p>\n

It looked like a completely new Palmer after the struggles of last season, and Rogers\u2019 existence appears to be one of the main reasons as to why.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cWhen you grow up you want to play or do anything with your best friends, so playing football at the best level feels surreal.\u201d<\/p>\n
