Former Chelsea striker Liam Delap made an instant impact on his Nottingham Forest debut, and their supporters were pleased with what they saw from the ex-Blue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While obviously signed to score some goals, it was his quick thinking that set Forest on their way to taking the lead at Anfield.<\/p>\n

Delap\u2019s<\/a> quick throw in sent James McAtee through on goal to win a penalty, which was converted by Morgan Gibbs-White before Victor Munoz equalised.<\/p>\n

Nottingham Forest fans react to Liam Delap\u2019s debut<\/h2>\n

Plenty is expected from the Englishman after joining for a price tag of \u00a350m<\/a>, but Forest fans were very impressed with what they saw from the former Chelsea<\/a> man on his debut.<\/p>\n

One user said: \u201cVery reassuring performance & result although you feel we could again have got the valuable 3! Lots of excellent performances too. McAtee, Neco, Cunha all great & Delap looks a very exciting addition too. Much more to come but a big step forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s fair to say that things didn\u2019t work out for Delap at Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea will be delighted that they actually managed to make a profit on his sale.<\/p>\n

However, it also looks the perfect move for the striker, who will be looking to get what looked like a very promising Premier League career back on track.<\/p>\n

He will also have ambitions to set up an international career too, with him one of the players waiting in the wings to take the position from Harry Kane. <\/p>\n

Given the instant impact teenager Brian Madjo made during the Super Cup<\/a> against PSG, he will need to get things going soon to hold off that challenge.<\/p>\n
