Frank Lampard has been reliving his playing days after being asked a question on one of his former Chelsea teammates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At Chelsea<\/a>, Frank Lampard remains an icon, scoring a club-record 211 goals and lifting three Premier League titles alongside the Champions League. However, his managerial stints at Stamford Bridge fell well short of that standard, leaking goals, and an eventual mid-season dismissal.<\/p>\n

After rebuilding his reputation by guiding Coventry City to the Championship title and promotion, Lampard<\/a> is back managing in the top flight. However, the step up has been harsh so far. Coventry opened their campaign with a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal followed by a 1-0 home loss to Hull City, leaving them scoreless and winless through their first two fixtures.<\/p>\n

And it seems as if his Chelsea days are still following him.<\/p>\n

Frank Lampard wishes he could have Didier Drogba at Coventry<\/h2>\n

Speaking on The Football Interview<\/a> podcast with singer Tom Grennan, Frank Lampard revealed that Didier Drogba<\/a> is the one former Chelsea teammate he would bring to Coventry City.<\/p>\n

Lampard was asked: \u201cYou played with unbelievable players. If someone gave you a little magic wand and said, take a player from the players that you played with, who would you pick and why?\u201d<\/p>\n

He responded: \u201cWell, I mean, that\u2019s a really tough one because there are so many. And I\u2019m not putting my boys down, but yeah, Football at the top level is the difference makers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talk a lot about the game in the middle of the park, which now\u00a0in the Premier League particularly, people are trying to cancel each other out and you win and lose games in the boxes. It sounds really simple. So I\u2019ll probably be drawn to Didier Drogba.<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, because Didier had everything as a striker. He also had a massive personality who could bring people with him. And he scores goals and he\u2019s priceless. And when goals are a premium and they won\u2019t be easy to come by in certain types of games, Didier would always step up in those moments.\u201d<\/p>\n

Didier Drogba was the ultimate big-game player for Chelsea, bagging 164 goals in 381 appearances across two spells. He lifted four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, and single-handedly dragged them to the 2012 Champions League crown.<\/p>\n
