It was an entertaining game for sure for Joao Pedro as his Chelsea side got the better of Brighton at Stamford Bridge, although one former Seagull was not happy with the Brazilian.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pedro\u2019s<\/a> flick on helped set up Romeo Lavia\u2019s<\/a> first goal for the Blues, before he missed an absolute sitter to send his former supporters wild behind the goal.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian made no mistake to make it 3-0 in the first half, and took the opportunity to celebrate in front of those who had jeered his mishap a few moments earlier.<\/p>\n

Former Brighton star criticises Joao Pedro after Chelsea 4-3 Brighton<\/h2>\n

Brighton fans have always enjoyed giving a rough reception to their former players at both Stamford Bridge and the Amex, with Moises Caicedo<\/a>, Robert Sanchez<\/a> and Marc Cucurella<\/a> all in the line of fire at different times too.<\/p>\n

Giving a bit back was clearly not appreciated by their former player, Anthony Knockaert, who took to Instagram<\/a> to post a story aimed at Pedro during the game.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cDon\u2019t forget what Brighton did for you mate. Ungrateful!\u201d<\/p>\n

There were more jeers headed the Brazil international\u2019s way when a Pascal Gross cross hit him and beat Emi Martinez<\/a>, bringing the Seagulls back into the game at 3-2.<\/p>\n

It was Pedro who had the last laugh though, celebrating again with Cole Palmer<\/a> as he scored what proved to be the winning goal.<\/p>\n

It looks a classic case of sour grapes from a Brighton cult hero, who no doubt would have loved to get involved in the chanting at the Brazilian if he was in attendance at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Their no-love policy for their former players at Chelsea was on full show as Caicedo was jeered when he came off the pitch with an injury in the second half.<\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso will have to wait and see how long he is set to be out<\/a>, with him now in real jeopardy of missing the crucial clash with Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Pedro will be available though, and will be looking to continue his excellent goalscoring run to start the season.<\/p>\n
