Chelsea are expected to bring in a new midfielder on deadline day, with Monaco\u2019s Lamine Camara one of those they are considering signing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues are waiting to see what the future holds for Enzo Fernandez<\/a>, who is continuing to push for a move to join up with Enzo Maresca at Manchester City.<\/p>\n

What Chelsea target Lamine Camara is doing on transfer deadline day<\/h2>\n

With just hours to go in the transfer window, there is so far no movement on Chelsea making Camara<\/a> their number one target today, and as far as he is concerned he is carrying on with business as usual.<\/p>\n

As per Santi Aouna<\/a>, the midfielder remains with his current squad, and has not gone AWOL to try and push a late move through.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cAt this moment, Lamine Camara is still in Monaco. The Senegalese midfielder was indeed present with the rest of the group this morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

He has continued to feature for the Ligue 1 side in the early stages of this season, and impressed French media with his recent appearance against Marseille.<\/p>\n

Camara is not a suitable Enzo Fernandez replacement<\/h2>\n

Many Chelsea<\/a> fans will feel though that the signing of Camara would not be enough to replace Fernandez, as he is still trying to join one of their biggest Premier League rivals.<\/p>\n

This also comes in the wake of Moises Caicedo hobbling off injured against Brighton<\/a>, with there so far no update on how his fitness has been affected.<\/p>\n

Chelsea haven\u2019t left themselves long enough to realistically finalise a deal for someone like Adam Wharton or Alex Scott, with both having Premier League experience under their belt.<\/p>\n

Camara is stylistically very similar to Caicedo rather than the Argentine, meaning the Blues are at risk of leaving a hole in their side for Alonso to try and deal with this season.<\/p>\n
