Chelsea remain in the market for a potential replacement for Enzo Fernandez, who could join Manchester City before the transfer window closes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea are interested in Lamine Camara<\/a> and Manu Kone but are struggling to find agreements with AS Monaco and AS Roma.<\/p>\n

The Blues may not have to go too far to find Fernandez\u2019s potential replacement. According to The Telegraph<\/a>, the club have a \u201cmystery\u201d target from the Premier League<\/a> on their shortlist alongside Camara and Kone.<\/p>\n

Chelsea have done a lot of their shopping at home this summer rather than abroad, bringing in Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix, Danny Welbeck, Jordan Henderson and Emiliano Martinez.<\/p>\n

They have bought players from other leagues, such as Marco Palestra and Pep Chavarria, but there has been a real onus on signing footballers with Premier League experience during this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Martinez is Chelsea\u2019s latest acquisition from a Premier League rival, with the goalkeeper arriving from Aston Villa to replace Robert Sanchez. <\/p>\n

Sanchez lost his place in the team and ultimately in Xabi Alonso\u2019s<\/a> squad after two poor mistakes against Fulham.<\/p>\n

Alex Scott and Adam Wharton are Chelsea\u2019s known midfield targets<\/h2>\n

Earlier in the transfer window, Chelsea were linked with Bournemouth\u2019s Alex Scott<\/a> and Crystal Palace\u2019s Adam Wharton<\/a>. In fact, Chelsea even made a bid for Scott<\/a>, which was rejected.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, Chelsea\u2019s interest in Scott and Wharton is quite known. Neither would exactly be a mystery, but the timing of a swoop for either would be surprising.<\/p>\n

Whatever the case, journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea<\/a> that the club have made fresh enquiries for Wharton and Scott.<\/p>\n

If Chelsea do end up signing a new midfielder from the Premier League, it could be one of them. Things are starting to get really interesting now as we approach the 11pm deadline.<\/p>\n
