Enzo Fernandez looks like he is finally heading to Manchester City after Chelsea agreed a British record fee of \u00a3125m. But the Blues look set to make another late sale alongside Fernandez.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deadline day has been one of drama for Chelsea<\/a> once again, with five hours still to go. Mykhailo Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo are expected to join Spurs<\/a>, which could see Chelsea earn a huge \u00a382m combined.<\/p>\n

Marc Guiu remains the only confirmed sale on deadline day, completing a \u00a314.5m move to RB Leipzig. The Spaniard has been handed the no.9 shirt<\/a> and will face Trevoh Chalobah\u2019s Como on September 10.<\/p>\n

But the last few hours look busy, with plenty of departures expected and a midfielder likely to come in as a replacement. Lamine Camara remains the likeliest signing, <\/a>but another departure is now incoming.<\/p>\n

Bought for \u00a317m back in the summer of 2023, Washington<\/a> has found it difficult on Chelsea\u2019s books. Fans can count his senior appearances for Chelsea on one hand, and his loan return to Santos didn\u2019t work.<\/p>\n

However, he remains young and a player with plenty of potential. Reports said Strasbourg, Marseille and Sevilla were all interested <\/a>in signing the Brazilian attacker, and now Edu Bargos <\/a>has news on Washington.<\/p>\n

The South American reporter claims Chelsea are set to sell Washington to BlueCo side Strasbourg on a permanent basis, for \u00a313.75m: \u201cEXC. David Washington signs with Strasbourg, contract signed until 2031.<\/p>\n

\u201cChelsea will receive \u20ac16m [\u00a313.75m] for his transfer, in addition to retaining a buy-back option and a percentage of future sales. Despite interest from Sevilla, he will stay in Ligue 1 this season,\u201d Burgos said.<\/p>\n

Given Chelsea have spent a similar amount on their new recruits after the arrival of Emi Martinez, it has to be said that\u2019s stunning business from BlueCo and Behdad Eghbali \u2013 even if their approach is unpopular.<\/p>\n
