The belief was that Chelsea were not going to replace Enzo Fernandez this summer, however there has been murmurs of the club making a late move for a new midfielder.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester City played the long game with the Blues<\/a> and eventually secured a \u00a3125m deal to sign Fernandez<\/a>, who made it clear he wanted out of the club.<\/p>\n

With the deal taking place late on deadline day, there is very little time for Chelsea<\/a> to sign a replacement, despite being linked with up to eight options.<\/p>\n

Chelsea have \u2018slight chance\u2019 of signing Eduardo Camavinga on deadline day<\/h2>\n

Chelsea fans will go into the rest of the season very worried if they do not sign another midfielder, however as per Simon Phillips<\/a> the Blues have a \u2018slight chance\u2019 at making a last-minute move for Real Madrid\u2019s Eduardo Camavinga.<\/p>\n

The Frenchman has been mentioned as a transfer target on a number of occasions, with The Chelsea Chronicle<\/strong> exclusively reporting that Xabi Alonso had been in contact with the midfielder<\/a> directly.<\/p>\n

The boss did temporarily work with Camavinga during his time at Madrid, however this relationship did not last long before he was sacked.<\/p>\n

The Blues have already missed out on top targets Adam Wharton<\/a> and Alex Scott<\/a> this summer, with their clubs unwilling to part ways with their best players this late in the window.<\/p>\n

With just three hours to go, Chelsea will need to make a decision soon and skip a lot of the usual negotiation tactics when it comes to agreeing a fee.<\/p>\n

Jose Mourinho is the current Madrid manager, and has been keen to use the midfielder during the early stages of the La Liga season<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is going to take a serious bid for the Blues to get him away from the Bernabeu today, however they have just banked an extortionate amount of money for the sale of Fernandez.<\/p>\n
