Lamine Camara has remained at Monaco, and Filipe Luis has got his wish, after sporting director Thiago Scuro pulled the plug on the midfielder\u2019s move to Chelsea.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It has completely backfired for Monaco. After Folarin Balogun\u2019s medical at Everton ran into complications, it looked as if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/tag\/lamine-camara\/\">Camara <\/a>would join Chelsea. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thechelseachronicle.com\/transfer-news\/finally-chelsea-complete-lamine-camara-deal-as-fabrizio-romano-delivers-shock-news\/\">A late \u00a347m deal was agreed<\/a> and the midfielder was due to go.<\/p>\n<p>But Everton revived their bid for Balogun, and it saw Scuro make the decision to cancel Camara\u2019s move, halfway through his Chelsea medical. Camara stayed, and then Balogun turned down the Everton deal.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-crazy-situation-that-has-completely-backfired-on-monaco\">A crazy situation that has completely backfired on Monaco<\/h2>\n<p>Chelsea are not impressed with Monaco. Given how advanced the deal was, with written contracts drawn up between the Blues and the Ligue 1 side, the decision to back out has been deemed \u2018unprofessional\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Camara isn\u2019t happy; he was keen to join Chelsea. He describes it as a \u201cmiracle\u201d if Scuro remains sporting director.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Thiago Scuro keeps his position after this, it\u2019s an absolute miracle because there\u2019s \u20ac50m missing from the accounts. He has literally ruined Camara by letting him go, only to cancel the transfer two hours later.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-chelsea-s-act-of-professionalism-could-end-up-costing-them\">Chelsea\u2019s act of professionalism could end up costing them<\/h2>\n<p>It is claimed Chelsea had the chance to pull the plug on Enzo Fernandez\u2019s British-record-equalling \u00a3125m move to Man City, with Camara no longer joining. They did not treat the players like commodities \u2013 which has been a criticism of BlueCo\u2019s ownership at Chelsea.<\/p>\n<p>Fernandez has gone, and Chelsea are left without a replacement. So, what is the state of their midfield now? Well, they have Moises Caicedo, Valentino Barco, Romeo Lavia, Jordan Henderson and Reece James.<\/p>\n<p>Caicedo and Henderson are injured, James is no stranger to injury, and Lavia is yet to complete a full 90 minutes competitively for the Blues. Barco remains unproven at Premier League level and is yet to start.<\/p>\n<p>Obviously, Chelsea are not in Europe, and despite the injuries, they should have enough to cope with one game a week.
