The reliable Fabrizio Romano has explained the current state of play following Lamine Camara\u2019s failed deadline day move to Chelsea.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chelsea had agreed a deal with Monaco to sign Camara<\/a>, only for the French club to perform a U-turn after Everton\u2019s move for Folarin Balogun was resurrected.<\/p>\n

In the end, that transfer did not happen either after Balogun decided he wanted to remain at Monaco. <\/p>\n

Chelsea and Monaco\u2019s relationship \u2018completely broken\u2019 after Lamine Camara mess<\/h2>\n

Understandably, Chelsea<\/a> are far from happy with the whole situation. In fact, according to Romano<\/a>, there is now no relationship between the Blues and Monaco.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his YouTube<\/a> channel about the whole fiasco, Romano said: \u201cChelsea completely furious. They had an agreement done, a medical underway and then deal off, deal collapsed. The relationship, Chelsea-Monaco, I think from tonight, is completely broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

Missing out on Camara<\/a> is a major blow for Chelsea, who have failed to sign a replacement for Enzo Fernandez as a result.<\/p>\n

Fernandez joined Manchester City on deadline day for a \u00a3125m fee, which is an incredible sum. Unfortunately for Chelsea, though, they were unable to use any of it to improve their midfield in the final hours of the transfer window.<\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso<\/a> will now have to make do with Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Reece James, Valentin Barco and Jordan Henderson until at least January. <\/p>\n

How Chelsea should respond to Monaco\u2019s unprofessionalism<\/h2>\n

Monaco\u2019s conduct on Tuesday night can only be described as unprofessional. That is how Chelsea viewed it anyway.<\/p>\n

In turn, Chelsea should not bother doing business with their French counterparts indefinitely. We should just blacklist them.<\/p>\n

That would mean not signing Camara in January or next summer. But let us be petty and bitter and simply move on to someone else. <\/p>\n

Chelsea were also interested in Manu Kone<\/a> on deadline day, so the AS Roma star could be an alternative to Camara in 2027.<\/p>\n

If Chelsea\u2019s relationship with Monaco really is completely broken, which is what you would expect after the events of Tuesday, it is very likely that they do indeed blacklist the Ligue 1 outfit and sign another midfielder instead.<\/p>\n
