While AS Monaco did not want Lamine Camara to join Chelsea in the end, the midfielder was always keen to move to Stamford Bridge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lamine Camara was looking forward to working with Xabi Alonso<\/h2>\n

One reason why Camara was so eager to join Chelsea was because of Xabi Alonso<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to TEAMtalk<\/a>, Camara was excited about the prospect of working under Alonso after speaking to the Chelsea manager.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old could have learned a lot from Alonso, who was one of the best midfielders in the game during his playing days.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Camara, who is also a midfielder, Monaco have denied him a dream move to Chelsea.<\/p>\n

The Blues could always make a fresh move for Camara in January, but they could face competition from Liverpool for Camara\u2019s signature<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Why Chelsea shouldn\u2019t make another move for Lamine Camara next year<\/h2>\n

It would be understandable if Chelsea went back in for Camara. He is a talented midfielder who can make tackles and pass the ball.<\/p>\n

As per WhoScored<\/a>, the Senegal international made 2.3 tackles and 1.5 key passes per game in Ligue 1 last season.<\/p>\n

After everything that has happened with Monaco, though, Chelsea should refrain from doing business with them in the future.<\/p>\n

Their conduct was completely unprofessional and could now have serious ramifications for Chelsea in the first part of this season.<\/p>\n

Of course, the Chelsea board should not have left things that late when they had a feeling that Enzo Fernandez would be off. But they still have every right to be furious with Monaco and should now consider adding the French club to a blacklist if they have not already.<\/p>\n
