Since Xabi Alonso has taken over as Chelsea manager, there has been a drastic change in the club\u2019s transfer strategy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After being reluctant to sign anyone in their late 20s, Chelsea<\/a> have now brought in 35-year-old Danny Welbeck.<\/p>\n

Jordan Henderson, 36, will also be playing at Stamford Bridge<\/a> in the new season, adding even more experience to the squad.<\/p>\n

It was quite clear that Chelsea needed more seasoned professionals in their ranks, and it looks as though Liam Rosenior<\/a> was the one to bring that to the club\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are now addressing the lack of \u2018emotional maturity\u2019 Liam Rosenior spotted instantly<\/h2>\n

According to The Athletic<\/a>, in his first team meeting, Rosenior told his players they were lacking \u201cemotional maturity\u201d and it was costing them in games.<\/p>\n

There is no doubt that the new Paris FC manager relayed that to his superiors, and that is likely to have influenced their decision to tweak the club\u2019s transfer policy this summer.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for Rosenior, he was not able to remain at Chelsea long enough to see that change happen and benefit from it. Alonso<\/a> is now set to be the one who reaps the rewards at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Hopefully, the arrivals of Welbeck and Henderson bring those rewards. They will not be regular starters under Alonso, but they will certainly have big roles to play in the dressing room.<\/p>\n

Chelsea have also signed Maxence Lacroix<\/a>, who is an experienced Premier League<\/a> footballer, too, even if he is not as old as Welbeck and Henderson.<\/p>\n

Lacroix is 26 and familiar with the English game after his time at Crystal Palace. Unlike Welbeck and Henderson, the Frenchman will be expected to start under Alonso, likely alongside Levi Colwill.<\/p>\n

If Rosenior had that kind of experience available to him during his short stint as Chelsea manager, there is no doubt that he would have done much better and perhaps not received the sack.<\/p>\n
