Levi Colwill had a part in Chelsea\u2019s epic 6-3 victory over Leeds United in the third round of the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colwill was unable to start against Arsenal<\/a> last weekend and did not feature at all despite being named on the bench.<\/p>\n

However, the defender was named in the Chelsea<\/a> team that took on Leeds and played 76 minutes before being replaced by Wesley Fofana.<\/p>\n

While Colwill<\/a> did not play last Sunday and failed to complete Wednesday night\u2019s game, Chelsea fans have nothing to worry about. After the Leeds win, Xabi Alonso<\/a> hinted that Chelsea are trying to manage a tiny issue with Colwill, but they do not expect it to become an injury that will prevent him from playing.<\/p>\n

When asked if the centre-back was taken off injured in his post-match press conference, Alonso told The Standard\u2019s Dom Smith<\/a> and other journalists: \u201cNo, no. It is just from little things that he\u2019s having, but we don\u2019t expect that it\u2019s an injury.\u201d<\/p>\n

With or without Colwill, Chelsea are simply conceding far too many chances<\/a> and goals right now. It is the second time that they have conceded three goals in a single match after beating Brighton & Hove Albion 4-3 last month.<\/p>\n

If the Blues want to compete for the Premier League title, it is obviously an area where they are going to have to improve.<\/p>\n

Levi Colwill\u2019s stats vs Leeds<\/h2>\n

It was not Colwill\u2019s best game, but it was certainly not his worst. In total, the 23-year-old made seven defensive contributions, although none were successful tackles, as per Sofascore<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Colwill still attempted a tackle, made four clearances and blocked two shots. His passing was pretty accurate, with the England international recording a pass success rate of 92%.<\/p>\n

He was dribbled past twice as Chelsea\u2019s defence continues to get sliced open. Fortunately, Alonso\u2019s side are scoring a lot of goals, which is bailing the backline out of jail. But as we saw at the Emirates, they will not be able to outscore every side this season.<\/p>\n
