Oli McBurnie had a glorious opportunity to win all three points for Hull City in their 2-2 draw with Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At 2-1, McBurnie could not convert a pretty straightforward chance that was presented to him. Moments later, Joao Pedro equalised for Chelsea<\/a> and made the score 2-2.<\/p>\n

Oli McBurnie jokes Emiliano Martinez is going to give him \u2018nightmares\u2019 after miss<\/h2>\n

It was initially a bit of underwhelming goalkeeping from Emiliano Martinez<\/a> that gave McBurnie his chance, but the Argentine managed to recover and prevent the Hull striker from scoring.<\/p>\n

On his miss, he told Sky Sports<\/a>: \u201cThe goalkeeper has come out quickly and done well. He\u2019s one of the best in the world. It\u2019s one that I\u2019ll probably be having a few nightmares over tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hull manager Sergej Jakirovic also discussed Martinez<\/a> after the game, hailing the 34-year-old as \u201cplayer of the match\u201d.<\/p>\n

Martinez has not been at Chelsea for long, but supporters have already seen the good and the bad from the Argentine.<\/p>\n

He has made some strong saves but has also parried the ball back into some dangerous areas. Last Sunday against Arsenal, many also felt that he should have prevented Kai Havertz\u2019s goals.<\/p>\n

Emiliano Martinez\u2019s stats vs Hull<\/h2>\n

Against Hull, Martinez made three saves in total, according to Sofascore<\/a>. Two were against shots from inside the box.<\/p>\n

The Argentina international also made two high claims, looking quite confident when coming to collect the ball. However, his goals prevented stat was -0.61.<\/p>\n

Being brutally honest, Martinez does not look like an upgrade on Robert Sanchez just yet. But it is early days, while this Chelsea defence is not doing enough to protect their goalkeeper.<\/p>\n

As the season goes on, you would expect a No.1 of Martinez\u2019s calibre to get better.<\/p>\n

Overall, Martinez has been pretty inconsistent during games<\/a>, but he is a top goalkeeper, and Chelsea fans will hope to see that throughout the campaign. Their next test is a trip to the Gtech Community Stadium to take on west London rivals Brentford.<\/p>\n
