Myles Hippolyte\u2019s superb free-kick was enough to earn AFC Wimbledon a 1-0 win at home to Doncaster.<\/p>\n
Jack Senior was picked out in the box by a Leon Ayinde cutback early in the first half, but he fired wide of the left post from close range.<\/p>\n
Senior forced Josef Bursik into action in the 15th minute, with the Dons goalkeeper getting down quickly to keep the ball out of the bottom-right corner.<\/p>\n
The visiting fans thought their side had taken the lead in the 19th minute when Owen Bailey tapped in a free-kick delivery from close range, but referee Elliott Swallow judged there had been a foul in the build-up.<\/p>\n
AFC Wimbledon took the lead against the run of play when Hippolyte curled a sublime free-kick into the top-left corner in the 43rd minute.<\/p>\n
Senior almost got his side back on level terms on the stroke of half-time but his half-volley from distance was tipped over the crossbar by Bursik.<\/p>\n
Bursik denied Senior from close range before turning an Isaac Hutchinson free-kick around the post at the start of the second half.<\/p>\n
Jordan Thomas curled an effort over the crossbar as the visitors continued their hunt for an equaliser, but it never came.<\/p>\n
