Chelsea wonderkid Estevao Willian has found minutes very hard to come by since the signing of Morgan Rogers, however this was not the original plan at Stamford Bridge.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rogers<\/a> has hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge after becoming the club\u2019s record signing for \u00a3117m. He helped save the Blues in the EFL Cup against Leeds with three assists.<\/p>\n

His introduction at half-time came at the expense of Estevao<\/a>, who struggled to make a real impact as he tried to convince Xabi Alonso to hand him his first Premier League start of the season.<\/p>\n

Chelsea originally thought both Morgan Rogers and Estevao Willian would start together<\/h2>\n

While it has been one or the other for now at Stamford Bridge, the original plan was for them both to feature in \u2018one of the most exciting attacks in football\u2019.<\/p>\n

Simon Johnson told \u2018Straight outta Cobham\u2019<\/a> that over the summer Estevao was in the plans to be in the starting attack, however is no longer amongst Rogers, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI was told during the summer that the excitement when Morgan Rogers was signed was that it\u2019d be a sort of, one of the most exciting attacks in football with Rogers, Palmer, Joao Pedro and Estevao. Unfortunately, Estevao\u2019s name is no longer on that list. The other three are.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far, there have been no reports of unhappiness from Estevao regarding his personal situation, despite the fact it is clear he is not in the club\u2019s best XI right now.<\/p>\n

Up to now, the four Chelsea attackers have only been on the pitch together for a handful of minutes against Arsenal.<\/p>\n

Ironically, it was Estevao who came closest to saving a point at the Emirates<\/a> with a brilliant effort that was well saved by David Raya,<\/p>\n

The fact that Chelsea do not have European football this season is going to be a blow for their squad players, with far less opportunities to earn their stripes.<\/p>\n

Estevao starred in the Champions League last season<\/a>, but it looks like he will largely be relying on others to help them return to that competition via their finish in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
