Pep Chavarria and Chelsea conceded two more goals this weekend after drawing 2-2 with Hull City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of Chelsea\u2019s<\/a> attackers, Morgan Rogers, gave the Blues an early lead before Hull managed to equalise. That has been the theme of Chelsea\u2019s season so far: scoring early and then conceding after.<\/p>\n

It was no different in the Hull game, resulting in Chavarria<\/a> firing a message to his fellow defenders and the rest of the team.<\/p>\n

Pep Chavarria warns Chelsea backline they need to defend better<\/h2>\n

Going forward, Chavarria has urged his Chelsea teammates that they need to improve defensively.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Chelsea\u2019s official club website<\/a> after the game, the 28-year-old said: \u201cI think that when we scored the first goal we controlled the game, but when they equalised Hull did good things. <\/p>\n

Our team is very competitive and we always have a lot of energy to score goals, but we need to defend better, I think that is the key.\u201d<\/p>\n

Chavarria is yet to start a game for Chelsea in the Premier League since his arrival from Ray Vallecano. However, that could change in the Blues\u2019 next match against Brentford.<\/p>\n

Jorrel Hato did not have the best game against Hull<\/a> and was subbed off for Chavarria at half-time. Bearing that in mind, it would not be a shock if Xabi Alonso<\/a> decided to hand Chavarria his first Premier League start on Friday.<\/p>\n

The Spaniard has impressed in the Carabao Cup and put in a much better performance against Hull than Hato.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s defensive record this season<\/h2>\n

In total, Chelsea have already conceded nine goals in the Premier League this season. It is one of the worst records in the division.<\/p>\n

They have also failed to keep a single clean sheet. Had it not been for their sensational attack, they would probably be in the relegation zone with the way they have been defending.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s next match is against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium, which is going to be a tough fixture. You can definitely see Alonso\u2019s men conceding another goal or two, but if Rogers, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro can keep up their fine form, there is obviously a chance that they will return to Stamford Bridge with all three points.<\/p>\n
