Chelsea fans are going to have the three week international break to stew on a 3-0 defeat to Brentford, but should not get carried away with panic in regards to the result.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso\u2019s side were outclassed by their West London rivals<\/a>, creating very little in front of goal and breaking down defensively in the second half.<\/p>\n

This came after a first 45 where they were the better side, and looked comfortable in defence after their very poor start to the season at the back.<\/p>\n

There is no need for Chelsea fans to panic<\/h2>\n

It has to be said that the Blues were without Joao Pedro, Moises Caicedo, Reece James<\/a> and Marco Palestra, four players who are likely in Alonso\u2019s starting XI when everyone is fit.<\/p>\n

While it is difficult to rely on James\u2019 fitness, Pedro and Caicedo are crucial cogs in the Chelsea system, and are always going to be huge misses whenever they\u2019re unavailable.<\/p>\n

Both are set to return when the international break is over, and expect Chelsea\u2019s<\/a> performances to significantly improve after this.<\/p>\n

The international break is likely going to be used for serious work on the training ground, with the defence needing significant improvements.<\/p>\n

Only Maxence Lacroix will be leaving the setup to represent his country, meaning the majority will have time to bring on board what Alonso wants to see at the back.<\/p>\n

There will also be time for new set-piece coach Austin McPhee to work on his attacking routines. Chelsea had 12 corners but created nothing in the way of a chance.<\/p>\n

The result against Brentford was a damning one, and will be reflected on by the players and coaching staff who have already seen the best side of the club throughout the early stages of the season.<\/p>\n

Pedro\u2019s return will see the fluidity back in the attack which looked stagnant against the Bees, and as the season progresses a number of their rivals\u2019 European campaigns will pick up too.<\/p>\n

Throughout this, Chelsea will continue to play just one game a week, and this will be a huge advantage too.<\/p>\n

There is no need to panic Chelsea fans. Every little thing, is gonna be alright.<\/p>\n
