The Chelsea Chronicle have predicted the side Xabi Alonso will name to try and get Chelsea back to winning ways in the Premier League against Brentford.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Blues are without a win in their last two league games after suffering defeat against Arsenal and being held to a 2-2 draw against Hull City.<\/p>\n

Alonso has a number of injury issues to deal with<\/a>. Moises Caicedo<\/a> is yet to play this season, while Joao Pedro has withdrawn from Brazil duty for the upcoming international break.<\/p>\n

Chelsea predicted XI vs Brentford<\/h2>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at the side we are predicting will start for the Blues in their second West London derby of the season\u2026<\/p>\n

Emi Martinez will retain his place in the side. A clean sheet is more than overdue for Chelsea, who are now without one in the Premier League since January.<\/p>\n

An impressive start to life under Alonso will see Josh Acheampong retain his place in the side, as the Blues move to a back three again.<\/p>\n

Maxence Lacroix will be back at the heart of the defence. There were some eyebrows raised when he was held back on the bench against Hull.<\/p>\n

Levi Colwill will complete the backline, still looking to put in his first completely assured performance of the 2026\/27 season.<\/p>\n

Right wing-back will see Pedro Neto move away from the frontline again, and into a position where he actually looks more comfortable under the new manager.<\/p>\n

Despite missing training earlier this week, Reece James will start in the heart of midfield, his new permanent position at Chelsea.<\/p>\n

He will be partnered by Romeo Lavia, with Valentin Barco still having to wait in the wings for a first Premier League start.<\/p>\n

Pep Chavarria will earn his first start of the Premier League season though, replacing Jorrel Hato who had a tough time of things against Hull.<\/p>\n

Cole Palmer will be looking to build on a brilliant start to the season, with Thomas Tuchel set to name his first England squad since the World Cup where he was left out.<\/p>\n

Another player looking for a place in that side is Morgan Rogers, and he will start again as the irresistible Chelsea front three will be broken up for the first time in the league.<\/p>\n

This is because Joao Pedro\u2019s injury<\/a> will not see him start, instead handing the first league opportunity for Danny Welbeck. He has three goals in his two EFL Cup starts so far this season.<\/p>\n
