After failed loan spells at Strasbourg and River Plate, Kendry Paez has returned to Chelsea and is now training with Cobham Next Gen.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Paez featured in Cobham Next Gen\u2019s match against Wycombe Wanderers<\/a>\u00a0in the EFL Trophy and managed to register an assist for Chelsea\u2019s<\/a> Under-21 side. Despite his development not going to plan, the club have clearly not given up on him.<\/p>\n

Paez<\/a>, who is already an Ecuador international, will not want to be playing youth football for the whole season. However, his people are hopeful that he can get some senior action in the new year, although that is very unlikely to happen at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n

Kendry Paez could secure loan move in England in January<\/h2>\n

While Paez may not get to play for Chelsea\u2019s first team this season, there is still a chance that he gets to represent an English club at senior level. According to BBC Sport<\/a>, people close to the 19-year-old are optimistic that he could secure a loan in England in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

Ideally, Chelsea would love to send Paez to another Premier League club and watch him play regularly there. It could really help his development, which has stuttered after what happened at Strasbourg and River Plate.<\/p>\n

However, a club in the Championship taking a punt on the young attacker seems more likely. The most important thing is that Paez gets regular game time somewhere.<\/p>\n

Chelsea did not sign the Ecuador international from Independiente del Valle for him to play in their youth team. At one stage, he was being mentioned alongside Estevao Willian.<\/p>\n

Right now, Estevao is struggling to break into Chelsea\u2019s starting XI<\/a>, so he may also fancy a loan move in the new year.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s view of Kendry Paez<\/h2>\n

A lot has been said about Paez\u2019s attitude, but Chelsea do not appear to be too concerned about that. BBC Sport\u2019s report also claims that there is a belief at the club that things have been blown out of proportion and that Paez deserves time to grow as a player and person.<\/p>\n

Whether Paez gets that time at Chelsea remains to be seen. The club seem to have a small list of untouchable players, with the majority being available for transfer at the right price.<\/p>\n

Paez will certainly be one young player at Chelsea to keep an eye on between now and the end of the January transfer window.<\/p>\n
