Jody Morris reckons Chelsea need an experienced starter<\/h2>\n

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Jody Morris was open and honest on the signings of Jordan Henderson<\/a> and Danny Welbeck<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Henderson joined Chelsea on a free transfer, signing a two-year deal and a contract through 2028, while Welbeck made the move for around \u00a35 million from Brighton.<\/p>\n

Jody Morris does have a point with Chelsea<\/h2>\n

Morris definitely hits the nail on the head. When Thiago Silva arrived, he immediately anchored the backline as an indispensable starter who elevated everyone around him. <\/p>\n

By contrast, Jordan Henderson and Danny Welbeck feel built for squad depth and dressing room culture rather than fundamentally transforming the starting XI on matchday.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve got Joao Pedro leading the line in what will be a likely one-man attack under Xabi Alonso, while Enzo Fernandez, Valentin Barco and Moises Caicedo are all likely ahead of Henderson in the pecking order.<\/p>\n
