Taking to his personal X account, Kevin Pietersen claims that Erling Haaland<\/a> could be on his way to Stamford Bridge in January to join Cole Palmer. <\/p>\n

An independent commission has found Manchester City guilty on 114 of 115 Premier League financial charges. While the club is expected to appeal the decision, potential penalties, ranging from severe points deductions to league expulsion, remain undecided as legal proceedings continue.<\/p>\n

Of course, should the Citizens receive a points deduction or relegation then we could see a complete overhaul of the squad, with players looking for ways out, which is Pietersen\u2019s thinking. <\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s highly unlikely that City will receive any punishment mid-season. <\/p>\n

Is Erling Haaland a realistic signing?<\/h2>\n

As fun as Kevin Pietersen\u2019s rumor is to imagine, Erling Haaland pitching up at Stamford Bridge is practically pure fantasy. <\/p>\n

City have him locked down until 2034, and prising him away would mean blowing past a \u00a3200 million transfer fee. Then there\u2019s his astronomical wage packet, somewhere around \u00a3850,000 a week with bonuses, which completely clashes with Chelsea\u2019s current policy of long-term, incentive-heavy contracts. <\/p>\n

Real Madrid or Barcelona would always be first in line if he ever fancies a change of scenery. Chelsea simply aren\u2019t going to break the bank to that degree.<\/p>\n
