Chelsea should think twice before making a move for Kevin Schade, who would struggle to get into their team ahead of Cole Palmer or Morgan Rogers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is not the main reason why Chelsea<\/a> should not sign the Brentford attacker, though. The Blues still need other offensive players who can provide cover for the likes of Palmer and Rogers.<\/p>\n

However, they already have that thanks to Estevao Willian, Pedro Neto and Geovany Quenda, while some of Schade\u2019s numbers are not the most convincing despite his impressive start to the season.<\/p>\n

Schade, who is admired by Chelsea, according to Sky Sports<\/a>, has scored three goals in just five Premier League games. For a winger, though, he simply does not create enough chances or complete enough dribbles.<\/p>\n

As per WhoScored<\/a>, Schade is currently making 0.6 key passes and completing 0.8 dribbles per game in the Premier League this season. Last term, the 24-year-old\u2019s numbers were virtually the same.<\/p>\n

During the 2025\/26 campaign, he made 0.8 key passes and completed 0.6 dribbles per game. At Chelsea, where the forward players have to face low blocks every week, that is not going to float.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, it was reported that Schade was offered to Chelsea<\/a>. The Blues did not bite, and it would be a surprise if they did now. To reiterate, they have the attacking positions covered, while the above suggests he is not going to be an upgrade on what Xabi Alonso<\/a> already has.<\/p>\n

Right now, the only area Chelsea should be thinking about strengthening is midfield. With Moises Caicedo injured and Enzo Fernandez no longer at the club, it has gone from being their biggest strength to their biggest weakness.<\/p>\n

Failing to replace Fernandez was a real blunder<\/a>, but hopefully Chelsea\u2019s sporting directors can correct that mistake in January instead of wasting their time targeting players such as Schade, who are not going to improve the team.<\/p>\n
