The name Lamine Camara continues to send shivers down the spines of Chelsea fans. The Blues failed to do a deal for the midfielder, and now they are not alone in pursuit of Monaco\u2019s star man.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having agreed to sell Enzo Fernandez for a joint-record British fee, Chelsea<\/a> pursued a deal for Camara<\/a> in the final hours of the transfer window. Camara was halfway through a medical before the deal failed.<\/p>\n

Monaco pulled the plug, and since then, Senegal star Camara has sparkled for Filipe Luis\u2019 side. Luis once said Camara is one of the best in the world<\/a>, and he has proven it with his performances this season.<\/p>\n

Lamine Camara\u2019s form has not only caught Chelsea\u2019s attention<\/h2>\n

The midfielder\u2019s form for Monaco has been excellent, playing a key role in his side\u2019s win over Clearlake\u2019s other side, Strasbourg<\/a>. Monaco sit top of Ligue 1, and Camara has arguably been the league\u2019s best player.<\/p>\n

It has been reported that Chelsea remain interested in a deal for Camara<\/a>, even amid suggestions that the Blues\u2019 relationship with the French club is strained. However, TeamTalk<\/a> says other English clubs are keen.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have also been linked and they are one of the other five sides interested in Camara, along with Chelsea. Palace had a bid rejected in the summer, and the Eagles are back in for the 22-year-old star.<\/p>\n

Now, Brighton and Newcastle are also interested in signing Camara come the January window. Whether he is open to leaving Monaco in the middle of the season remains to be seen, but Monaco need a sale.<\/p>\n

Filipe Luis warned Chelsea that this would happen<\/h2>\n

There is a world where Luis could have been Chelsea manager, with Camara at his disposal. The Brazilian gaffer was considered by Chelsea before the appointment of Xabi Alonso as Liam Rosenior\u2019s replacement.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the summer window had shut, Luis said that if he continued to play in the way he has been that other clubs would be interested in signing the Senegal star<\/a>. Now, the reports suggest it is happening.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe football world knows about Lamine. Other clubs are looking at him. If he just maintains [his level], it won\u2019t just be one club \u2013 all the big clubs will come for him,\u201d Luis said following the summer deadline.<\/p>\n
