Chelsea will be looking to maintain their Premier League form after the international break when they travel to Everton on Saturday, and are reportedly interested in signing one of their key players when the transfer window opens again.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Xabi Alonso\u2019s side returned to winning ways with an emphatic 5-1 win over Bournemouth, with 10\/10 Jordan Henderson stealing the show<\/a> in his first Stamford Bridge start.<\/p>\n

Chelsea considering signing James Tarkowski<\/h2>\n

Those successes, as well as the signing of Emi Martinez as their new number one, seems to have convinced the club they should continue looking in this direction, which has seen James Tarkowski\u2019s name be mentioned.<\/p>\n

Simon Phillips said on YouTube<\/a>: \u201cAnd that brings me to my next link. James Tarkowski from Everton would definitely tick a lot of those boxes in terms of the experience and other bits and pieces. Now, you might say, why am I talking about Tarkowski?<\/p>\n

\u201cBasically, I\u2019ve had his name mentioned to me last week, actually, I haven\u2019t put anything out on it yet because I have I\u2019ve been trying to clarify the information. and if there\u2019s actually anything to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old has played in every Everton game so far this season, finding the net once too. He is expected to be one of the first names on the teamsheet when Chelsea visit at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Alonso\u2019s current style sees the Blues start with three centre-backs, and the trio who started against Bournemouth (Josh Acheampong, Maxence Lacroix and Levi Colwill) are seen by many as the strongest three.<\/p>\n

The likes of Jorrel Hato and Wesley Fofana are deputies, however the set of options is missing a seriously-experienced star who will continue to drive high standards. This could be where Tarkowski proves to be a very shrewd addition.<\/p>\n
