All of a sudden, it looks as though Chelsea have a genuine chance of signing Alex Scott from Bournemouth in January.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Up until Tuesday, Bournemouth\u2019s stance was that Scott<\/a> would not be for sale in the January transfer window. However, that stance appears to have softened, with it emerging that the Cherries are now open to a winter exit if the conditions are right.<\/p>\n

The midfielder is still expected to cost a \u00a3100m fee. In fact, before Tuesday\u2019s news, journalist Simon Phillips claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea<\/a> that it would take something closer to \u00a3130m to get Scott out of the Vitality Stadium in January.<\/p>\n

That is ridiculous. With that amount of money, Chelsea<\/a> could sign two other transfer targets and still have money left over!<\/p>\n

Lamine Camara<\/h2>\n

AS Monaco\u2019s Lamine Camara<\/a> is the alternative to Scott and would cost significantly less than the Englishman. Chelsea agreed a deal with Monaco for Camara<\/a> at the end of the last transfer window, but the French club had a change of heart and stopped that move from happening.<\/p>\n

The deal was thought to be worth \u00a347m, but Camara is now likely to cost more amid more interest and an impressive start to the season. There could be a real transfer battle for his signature in January.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, he is still not going to cost anywhere near as much as Scott. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Monaco are now demanding a \u00a360m fee for Camara<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jules Kounde<\/h2>\n

Chelsea are not just looking at midfielders. The Blues are also thought to be considering bringing in a new defender, with Barcelona\u2019s Jules Kounde<\/a> seemingly on their radar again.<\/p>\n

Amid their reported interest in him, it has been claimed that Chelsea could sign Kounde for just \u00a342m<\/a>. It means the club could be looking at just over \u00a3100m for both Camara and Kounde.<\/p>\n

They could sign Camara and Kounde and have pocket change remaining. That seems much more logical than breaking the bank for Scott.<\/p>\n
