Chelsea may have moved an inch closer to signing top target Alex Scott from Premier League rivals Bournemouth.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bournemouth\u2019s stance had been that Scott<\/a> would not be sold in the January transfer window. However, their position seems to have softened.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, multiple outlets reported that Bournemouth are now open to selling their star midfielder this winter. He will not come cheap, though.<\/p>\n

It is thought that it could take \u00a3130m to get Scott out of the Vitality Stadium<\/a>. The good news for Chelsea<\/a> is that if they can agree a fee with the Cherries, the 23-year-old is likely to sign for them.<\/p>\n

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea<\/a> that Scott would \u201cabsolutely\u201d move to Stamford Bridge if the Blues can strike a deal with his current employers. However, his willingness to join Chelsea does not mean they are the only club he will consider.<\/p>\n

According to Phillips, Chelsea also need to be wary of rival interest from other Premier League outfits. Whatever the case, this development is a positive one for them.<\/p>\n

Jordan Henderson shone against Bournemouth<\/a> last weekend, but Chelsea need to sign a new midfielder after Enzo Fernandez\u2019s departure. Scott could be that midfielder, perhaps as early as January.<\/p>\n
