Chelsea\u2019s game against Johor Darul Ta\u2019zim<\/strong> on Sunday afternoon looked like more than just a friendly!<\/strong><\/p>\n

It ended 3-3 after a very fiery affair, which should have concluded with a penalty shoot-out. That did not happen, though, leaving one Chelsea<\/a> staff member far from happy.<\/p>\n

Chelsea\u2019s head of first-team operations Kevin Campello could be heard saying, \u201cit\u2019s written in the contract\u201d following the full-time whistle, which Daily Mail journalist Kieran Gill shared on X<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While the Blues would have liked to have beaten JDT, especially after how intense things got during the match, Xabi Alonso<\/a> will be pleased he could give more of his players a run out following Saturday\u2019s 3-0 win over AC Milan.<\/p>\n

The Spaniard will also be delighted with Liam Delap. While it may have only been a friendly, Delap put in arguably his best performance<\/a> in a Chelsea shirt against JDT.<\/p>\n

The striker scored two goals and was a nuisance all game with his physical strength. It will now be interesting to see what Alonso does with him.<\/p>\n

Joao Pedro is Chelsea\u2019s first-choice striker, while the club have just brought in Danny Welbeck. It means only one of Delap, Nicolas Jackson or Emmanuel Emegha is likely to remain at Stamford Bridge<\/a> this summer.<\/p>\n
