Enzo Fernandez is back at Cobham this week after being given an extended break due to his exploits at the World Cup with Argentina \u2013 and Levi Colwill might have dropped a hint about his future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

For months now, Fernandez<\/a> has been linked with the exit door at Chelsea<\/a>. The \u00a3120m-rated midfielder has been vying for a move to Real Madrid<\/a>, but after Madrid\u2019s statement, that is no longer on the cards.<\/p>\n

Not at \u00a3120m, anyway. Xabi Alonso <\/a>and Fernandez will now get the chance to sit down in person and discuss the former Benfica star\u2019s future at Stamford Bridge, where he has a contract until June 2032.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid are not the only side interested in Fernandez, with Man City and Enzo Maresca also said to be looking<\/a> at the Argentine. Levi Colwill<\/a> might have just dropped a hint regarding Fernandez\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Colwill posts intriguing comment on Romeo Lavia\u2019s Instagram<\/h2>\n

With Chelsea\u2019s players returning from their tour of Australia and Asia, plenty have posted on Instagram<\/a> and Lavia was one of those to do so. He completed his first 90 minutes for Chelsea on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Lavia starred alongside Moises Caicedo, playing slightly further forward than the Ecuadorian and laying on an assist for his midfield partner to lash home a volley, as Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 win over Milan.<\/p>\n

On Lavia\u2019s Instagram post, Colwill commented, \u201cmy 8\u201d. It has prompted plenty of reaction from fans on the comment itself. A handful of fans simply tagged Enzo Fernandez in reply to Colwill\u2019s comment.<\/p>\n

Another said, \u201che said what he said\u201d, while one fan supplied five question marks. The comment hinted that Colwill was suggesting that Chelsea have moved on from Fernandez as the club\u2019s number eight.<\/p>\n

A hint on his future, or what the Chelsea squad thinks of him?<\/h2>\n

Colwill is unlikely to be aware of what is going on with Fernandez\u2019s future at Stamford Bridge, even if he is considered one of seven untouchables<\/a> and a leader among the squad. But it does hint at something else.<\/p>\n

It suggests the Chelsea squad are thinking, or planning, without Fernandez. It might be that the Chelsea squad are disillusioned with Fernandez\u2019s desperate attempts to distance himself from the Chelsea squad.<\/p>\n

Fernandez remains a Chelsea player, no matter what the current squad thinks of him. Unless a \u00a3120m bid is made, or a bid near that figure, Fernandez will stay put and the likes of Colwill must get used to that.<\/p>\n
