Chelsea fans are sensing an incoming fire sale at Manchester City following their Premier League charges, and we asked supporters on the players they would want to sign in this eventuality.

City have been charged with 114 counts of breaking financial rules, with their punishment set to be the largest ever received by a Premier League side by some margin.

This comes just weeks after Chelsea were charged for their own misdemeanours, however got off lightly after Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali self-reported the charges.

Chelsea fans disagree on Man City players they should sign after 114 charges

Whatever happens, the position City are left in means plenty of their players are set to push for moves away from the club, with Chelsea a possible landing spot for their top stars.

While Erling Haaland was a popular option amongst supporters, they were more divided on who else should be brought in to strengthen their side.

Some users believe the defensive weaknesses they have shown in the early stages of life under Xabi Alonso means they should be targeting Marc Guehi, who of course has history at Stamford Bridge.

However, one user believes the brilliance of Elliot Anderson shouldn’t be ignored, with Chelsea also looking for a new long-term partner to Moises Caicedo.

Imagine if Man City actually get relegated 😳

Interestingly, no Chelsea supporter chose for Enzo Fernandez to return for the club, after he pushed for a move away from the club over the summer and then left them little time to sign a replacement.

There will be plenty of Blues supporters who are not too fussed about what the future looks like for him, as well as Enzo Maresca after his unceremonious exit from Stamford Bridge on New Year’s Day.

There will be some interest in West London over what happens to the trophies City have won over the last 15 years or so, with a FA Cup, League Cup and Community Shield finals all being lost by the Blues to them during this time period.
