Lionel Messi recently revealed his +10 list in association with Adidas, naming the world’s top 10 young talents, and Chelsea’s Chloe Sarwie was included. Now, Chelsea are trying to sign another.

Sarwie, 17, has already played eight times for Chelsea’s senior women’s side, and clocked up three U20 England caps. There is huge hype around the Chelsea teenager, and Messi has added to that hype.

Alongside Sarwie were Mexican star Gilberto Mora, Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman and Palace’s USA international Zavier Gozo. Another name included was a player who has been likened to Messi himself.

Chelsea are still monitoring Boca Juniors attacker Tomas Aranda

Tomas Aranda has come through the ranks at Boca Juniors, playing more than 50 times for the second string before playing 32 times in all competitions for the Argentine side – having a hand in four goals.

His form has caught the eye of Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni, who has afforded Aranda his first call-up. Chelsea have been linked with Aranda for a while, with a chance they loan him to Strasbourg.

Alex Scott could be available in January! If Chelsea sign him, what impact do you think he’ll make on the midfield?

But Chelsea are not the only side interested. According to Argentine El Intransigente, Arsenal and Napoli are also interested in Aranda, with the report detailing that he has a release clause in his Boca contract.

As things stand, Aranda has a release clause worth a bargain £15m. But should he be sold towards the start of the 2027 Argentine campaign, that release clause increases to around £18.75m for Aranda.

Arsenal and Napoli are also interested in signing Aranda

Chelsea and Arsenal often find each other at the negotiating table, and this case is no different. But the lure of having Valentin Barco and Emi Martinez already at Stamford Bridge could help sway Aranda.

The chance to play under Max Allegri at Napoli also remains an opportunity, with Argentine players often tempted to move to Naples having watched legendary footballer Diego Maradona become a Napoli icon.

Carlos Tevez is a big fan of Aranda: “It’s been in the top flight for ten years. I’m not revealing anything new; he’s an extraordinary player. I’d already said it, and now that I’ve seen him live, I think the same.”

Available for a bargain fee, it is likely that other clubs will become interested in Aranda, who is set for a big career in European football – not least because he’s named alongside Sarwie in Messi’s +10 list.
