Kevin Pietersen is absolute royalty in English cricket, a batsman who completely changed how the game was played and piled up over 13,000 international runs.
Now, more than a decade after his controversial exit, he’s back in the fold as a mentor for England’s white-ball squad under head coach Brendon McCullum.

Kevin Pietersen claims Erling Haaland will join Chelsea in January
Taking to his personal X account, Kevin Pietersen claims that Erling Haaland could be on his way to Stamford Bridge in January to join Cole Palmer.
“Haarland and Cole Palmer I’m hearing in January at Stamford Bridge.”
An independent commission has found Manchester City guilty on 114 of 115 Premier League financial charges. While the club is expected to appeal the decision, potential penalties, ranging from severe points deductions to league expulsion, remain undecided as legal proceedings continue.
Of course, should the Citizens receive a points deduction or relegation then we could see a complete overhaul of the squad, with players looking for ways out, which is Pietersen’s thinking.
However, it’s highly unlikely that City will receive any punishment mid-season.
Is Erling Haaland a realistic signing?
As fun as Kevin Pietersen’s rumor is to imagine, Erling Haaland pitching up at Stamford Bridge is practically pure fantasy.
City have him locked down until 2034, and prising him away would mean blowing past a £200 million transfer fee. Then there’s his astronomical wage packet, somewhere around £850,000 a week with bonuses, which completely clashes with Chelsea’s current policy of long-term, incentive-heavy contracts.
Real Madrid or Barcelona would always be first in line if he ever fancies a change of scenery. Chelsea simply aren’t going to break the bank to that degree.
