There is a reason for that. Able to play anywhere in defence, the Liverpool academy product has starred in Germany with Leverkusen, but Sport Bild claim – as per Buli News – Quansah is set to leave in 2027.

The report claims Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all interested in Quansah, with the Reds boasting a buyback clause worth £60m next summer. Arsenal’s £55m bid was rejected in the summer.

Quansah is set to leave Leverkusen next summer

The seven-time England international has already clocked up 50 appearances for Leverkusen, even though he joined the club in 2025. Quansah has starred in Germany, and a big move is incoming.

Leverkusen are said to want a fee of £60m, the same amount that Liverpool have in their buyback clause, if they are to sell Quansah. For most clubs, his versatility makes him a really worthwhile addition.

Given Alonso uses a back three, Quansah would provide cover at Stamford Bridge in any of those three roles. Should Alonso switch to a back four, Quansah would also be able to play at full-back on both sides.

He might be somewhat expensive at £60m, but Quansah is young and English, able to play in multiple positions, and seems to be getting better and better with every season. He would be a brilliant signing.
