Harry Kane was full of praise for the role Chelsea star Morgan Rogers played in a memorable night for the England striker.

Thomas Tuchel’s side won 3-0 against Czechia, capping off a very impressive international break even without the presence of Cole Palmer in the side after he withdrew from the squad.

Rogers had already found the net for his country during the international break, and this time he turned provider for Kane for the first of his brace.

The Blues man latched on to a brilliant pass over the top from Elliot Anderson before performing a stunning first-time cross to the striker to give England breathing space.

Kane was asked by ITV Football after the game about the move which led to the goal, and he described Rogers’ cross as simply perfect.

He said: “I think you saw some fantastic football out there. The ball from Elliot into Morgan. The first time cross was just as good as it gets. As a striker, you’re just licking your lips for that opportunity”

“This is the England team. There’s always going to be competition for every spot. When you’re here, you have to take those opportunities.”

The quality across the pitch saw the Chelsea attacker play in a variety of positions during the international break, as he competed for minutes with a plethora of talented Premier League players.

Chelsea needed this break BADLY… but with so many players racking up minutes for their countries, did it actually help them or could it have made things worse? 🤔

Against Czechia, he started on the right of attack, a position he has not played since moving to West London. He also featured as a false nine briefly too.

Rogers has certainly taken his opportunity to impress during the extended international break, building on an excellent start to life at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea fans will be looking to see him take that form into their return to Premier League action at the weekend. The Blues host Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues already know they will not be facing Alex Scott after he left the England camp early due to an injury. He had already made his mark during the Nations League fixtures.
