Chelsea fans travelling to Stamford Bridge for the Premier League fixture against Bournemouth should be aware that the closest tube station, Fulham Broadway is closed today.

Planned engineering works on the District Line have seen the West side closed, including the line which heads down to Wimbledon.

Blues supporters will therefore have to alter their route to make it to Stamford Bridge today, with delays expected around London as a result of the works.

How Chelsea fans can get to Stamford Bridge for Bournemouth clash

Chelsea fans will be required to travel to one of Earl’s Court, South Kensington or Hammersmith, where alternate underground lines are available.

The walk from Earl’s Court to Stamford Bridge is around 24 minutes, while it will take 32 minutes to make it from South Kensington station.

A walk from Hammersmith will be around 47 minutes, but could be the quickest option when returning home with crowds likely rushing to the former two stations.

The official Chelsea website has warned that there may be delays as long as 60 minutes to enter Earl’s Court following the game due to the congestion of supporters.

With kick-off at 3pm, Blues fans will want to get themselves in order early to make sure they do not miss kick-off, with a plethora of other fixtures also taking place in the capital too.

Chelsea needed this break BADLY… but with so many players racking up minutes for their countries, did it actually help them or could it have made things worse? 🤔

The only real boost is that both West London rivals, Fulham and Brentford, are playing away from home today, meaning they will not add to the congestion around.

Moises Caicedo and Cole Palmer are expected to be fit for the Blues for today’s game, while there are still doubts over whether the rest of their injured stars will make it.

Alex Scott will definitely miss out for Bournemouth. He picked up an injury while representing England which will see him miss a prolific period of time.
