Chelsea face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League later this month, and Cole Palmer has very fond memories of playing against them.

Since joining Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023, Palmer has taken on Spurs five times and won on all five occasions! His individual record in this fixture is also very good.

In total, the attacking midfielder has scored three goals and provided two assists. Two of those goals came in the same game back in the 2024/25 season.

Cole Palmer enjoyed Panenka against Tottenham in 2024

In December 2024, Chelsea and Tottenham played out an absolute thriller at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. After going 2-0 down, Enzo Maresca’s side turned things around and managed to win 4-3, with Palmer having a key role in the comeback.

The 24-year-old scored two penalties on the day, including a Panenka kick. It is one of his favourite moments in a Chelsea shirt.

Jordan Henderson starred in Chelsea’s win over Bournemouth, but who is the club’s greatest-ever free transfer? 🤔

Speaking to Chelsea’s official club website about that goal after signing a new contract, Palmer said: “That was funny, you know. It comes naturally. I didn’t think about that, I just did that to do it. That’s when I’m most relaxed. That was a good one, especially at that stadium.”

The season before that, Chelsea also defeated Manchester United 4-3 after going behind. It is one of Palmer’s other favourite moments as a Blues player.

Palmer and Chelsea will really fancy their chances when Spurs travel to Stamford Bridge towards the end of the month. Roberto De Zerbi’s side were able to hold Manchester United to a 1-1 draw at the weekend despite going down to 10 men, but they have had an awful start to the campaign and remain in the relegation zone.

Chelsea have been boosted by the return of Moises Caicedo, who was excellent against Bournemouth on Saturday. After the game, Morgan Rogers even hailed Caicedo as the “best in the world”.

If Palmer, Caicedo and the rest of Chelsea’s key players are all fit, it could end up being a very long day for Tottenham. Before that, though, Xabi Alonso’s men must face Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
