What sources are now saying about Chelsea loanee Alejandro Garnacho at Aston Villa
It has been a nightmare start at Aston Villa for Alejandro Garnacho as far as Chelsea are concerned, however sources believe the winger is starting to turn a corner at Villa Park.
Garnacho has played just 31 Premier League minutes so far on loan at Villa, and has not seen the pitch in their last three games.
This has brought some concern amongst Blues fans after he did not move on loan with an obligation for it to be made permanent, even though the terms were reported as easy to reach for that eventuality to happen anyway.
Chelsea loanee Alejandro Garnacho improving at Aston Villa
After a really tough start, it looks as if the Argentine is beginning to turn a corner at his new club, with him making an impression on Unai Emery and the rest of the staff.
As per Flashscore, sources at Villa have praised Garnacho’s attitude despite not playing as regularly as he had liked, and have even said that his performance levels in training have improved too.
Villa’s frontline looks very different this season following the exits of the likes of Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins. Nicolas Jackson has hit the ground running since his move from Stamford Bridge was permanent.
Jordan Henderson starred in Chelsea’s win over Bournemouth, but who is the club’s greatest-ever free transfer? 🤔
The returning Johan Manzambi following his early-season injury woes has seemingly only made opportunities harder to come by for Garnacho, which could see Chelsea miss out on a significant amount of money come the end of the season.
It has to be said that Villa have done this to a fellow top Premier League side very recently too. Liverpool sent Harvey Elliott on loan there last season, only for him to not get enough appearances to make that deal permanent.
Emery’s side have European football to contend with this season in the form of the Champions League, and as the campaign goes on they are going to rely on rotation far more as injuries become a very real concern.
The hope will be that this is where Garnacho can be handed his chance, and put in performances that see him too positive to ignore any longer.
