Chelsea are closing in on the sales of Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson, while Enzo Fernandez is set to be the subject of a bid from Man City this week. Now, Napoli have made a bid for Marc Guiu.

Oliver Glasner pretty much confirmed Delap will join Forest in the coming hours. Reports say an initial fee of £45m plus £5m more in add-ons is expected to change hands, while Villa are moving to sign Jackson.

Strasbourg have paid just £5m for the 20-year-old.

Advanced talks is the latest update regarding the Senegal star, and Jackson is expected to replace Ollie Watkins in a £65m deal. England ace Watkins is due to join Al Hilal as Karim Benzema’s replacement.

A bid is also expected for Enzo Fernandez in due course, with some suggestions that a bid could exceed the £120m fee Chelsea had requested. Now, Marc Guiu could become the fourth player sold this week.

Napoli’s bid for Marc Guiu falls well below Chelsea’s valuation

According to Sky Sport in Italy, Napoli have tabled an offer believed to be worth £13.75m for Guiu – which falls far below Chelsea’s asking price for the striker. The Blues are believed to want a £25m fee.

However, Napoli’s base fee of £13.75m will increase via the inclusion of add-ons, while some reports state that Max Allegri’s men are willing to include a sell-on clause. Chelsea are likely to want more cash.

Why Chelsea should simply accept Marc Guiu offer…

Ultimately, the Blues are about to receive a massive lump sum of cash for three players – two of whom are not even in Xabi Alonso’s plans. Guiu is a talent, and he proved that during his time under Enzo Maresca.

But he didn’t even go on tour with Chelsea to Australia and Asia. This is a player with low stock, putting aside any obvious talent. For the good of Guiu’s career, Chelsea need to sell before his value decreases.

Enough is enough! It’s time to replace Robert Sanchez, but who should Chelsea sign? 😤

If Guiu stays put, the striker’s value is going to dissipate into thin air, and by the time next summer comes around, the Blues will struggle to get him out of the door. A fee of £13.75m with add-ons is a decent bid.

Their £25m valuation was always going to be unachievable for a player who has hardly played over the last 12 months. Ultimately, Guiu needs to go, Napoli have made a fair bid, and Chelsea need to sell him.
