Fernandez’s reputation with Chelsea fans can be repaired

Fernandez is not making this an easy situation for the Blues. His desire to join Manchester City has seen him left out of the last two matchday squads.

He received a positive reception from away supporters when he came on at Craven Cottage though, suggesting the relationship is in no way tarnished.

Chelsea need to stand firm now and back their new manager, who has impressed greatly so far, and not give Alonso a real midfield headache this season.
