Joe Cole is every Chelsea fan when he shares what ‘burns’ him about Arsenal
There was a feeling of frustration in the air for Chelsea fans as their woeful record against arch-rivals Arsenal continued at the weekend at the Emirates.
Xabi Alonso’s side took the lead through Morgan Rogers, but ultimately lost control of the game quickly, losing 2-1 and remaining on a record of just one win against them since 2019.
There was more misery for Blues fans when Kai Havertz was the man to fire the Gunners level, with there no love lost after his unceremonious exit from Stamford Bridge.
Another defeat to Arsenal but not the worst performance. Who was our best player? Who needs to improve?
Joe Cole shares what ‘burns’ him about Arsenal
Many believe the German never lived up to the hype for Chelsea, however he has hit new heights as the starting striker at the Emirates.
Former Blue Joe Cole stated in his review of the game that Havertz was ‘sensational’ in the top-of-the-table clash, something which continues to hurt him every time.
He said to ‘The Dressing Room’: “This player, it burns me every time I see him play for Arsenal and perform the way he performs, Kai Havertz was absolutely sensational in that position.
“We sleep on him constantly, we did a highlight reel of him, the touches, when he drops in, as a centre-forward, a false nine is there a better player in that role in football?”

Chelsea currently have a very similar striker in their ranks in the form of Joao Pedro, however he faced a tough task in a physical battle with the Arsenal centre-backs.
It was far from his best performance after starting the season on a high, although it will surely not be long before he is back amongst the goals.
Havertz meanwhile was keen to poke fun at Chelsea fans on social media after the result on Sunday as he continued his strong record against them.
He can expect a hostile reception from the Stamford Bridge faithful in the reverse fixture later this season, which is currently set for March 13, 2027.
