Winners

Cole Palmer

Palmer came in for some criticism after the Arsenal loss but has quickly redeemed himself with his brace against Daniel Farke’s side.

The attacking midfielder needs to improve his big-game record, but you can take nothing away from his latest display.

Morgan Rogers

Rogers did not score, but he was just as effective as Palmer, registering an incredible three assists.

Right now, the former Aston Villa man and Palmer are goal and assist machines. What an impact he has made since joining Chelsea!

Pep Chavarria

Defensively, Chelsea have been poor so far this season and conceded too many goals again on Wednesday night. However, Pep Chavarria was pretty solid.

The left-back made some good tackles and won his duels. Based on that showing, Chavarria could prove to be a bargain for Chelsea. The Blues paid just £16m for his signature.

Losers

Malo Gusto

Malo Gusto, is he a right-back? Is he a midfielder? Unfortunately, the Frenchman looks like neither at the moment.

In possession, Gusto seems very uncomfortable, while his play is so negative. The sooner Moises Caicedo and Marco Palestra are back, the better.

Jamie Gittens

It is not going to happen for Jamie Gittens at Chelsea, is it? Gittens is a talented winger, but you rarely see him in positions where he can really attack his full-back.

His back is often to goal and he just ends up dribbling towards the centre or backwards. It may be a confidence thing or the fact that Chelsea are often up against low blocks. Whatever the case, it was another disappointing outing for the England Under-21 international.

Estevao Willian

Subbed off at half-time, Estevao Willian had a disappointing night after big expectations heading into the game.

He impressed in his cameo appearance against Arsenal but had very little influence in Wednesday night’s match.
