Chelsea’s win against Leeds United on Wednesday night will go down as one of the greatest games the League Cup has ever seen!

Xabi Alonso’s side fought back from 2-0 down to win 6-3 at Stamford Bridge. Cole Palmer inspired that comeback after scoring two goals off the bench.

Morgan Rogers also managed to make an impact after registering three assists, but the two England internationals were not the only Chelsea stars to impress.

What a game! Where do you rank this new Chelsea attack as Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers shine again?

Xabi Alonso will be glad Chelsea didn’t sell Pedro Neto in the summer

It was Pedro Neto who put Chelsea in front for the first time on the night, scoring to make it 3-2 after Palmer’s brace.

He was brought on at half-time alongside Palmer and Rogers, and Alonso will be delighted that the winger is still at the club.

Chelsea could easily have sold him in the summer. Neto attracted plenty of interest during the transfer window, including from some of the Premier League’s biggest sides.

The likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool were all thought to have been keen on the 26-year-old.

Neto was also linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, but Chelsea kept hold of him in the end, which is starting to look like a really good decision and not just because of his impact against Leeds.

The Portuguese also scored in Chelsea’s 4-3 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion last month and has been very effective in the right wing-back position.

Defensively, there is room for improvement, which is understandable. Neto is a natural winger. But going forward, he is causing a lot of defences problems, and it was no different in Chelsea’s latest Carabao Cup tie.

Palmer and Rogers were two of the biggest winners from such an exciting clash, but Neto was up there with them with his performance. Hopefully all three can do more damage against Hull City this weekend.
