Chelsea eyeing 2027 move for forward with similar playing style to Joao Pedro
Danny Welbeck is not doing a bad job as Joao Pedro’s deputy at Chelsea.
Welbeck grabbed a brace against Leeds United in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, adding to the goal he scored in the previous round.
However, Welbeck turns 36 this year, and the jury is still out on Emmanuel Emegha, meaning it may not be long before Chelsea have to sign another forward to support Pedro.

Has he got a point, or is he talking rubbish?
Chelsea could make move for Eli Junior Kroupi in 2027
According to reports, that forward could be Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi, who has a lot of admirers in the game right now.
A report from Flashscore claims that the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in Kroupi and could target the 20-year-old in 2027.
Just before the summer transfer window opened, Chelsea were informed that Kroupi was not for sale.

Bournemouth stuck to their guns and managed to keep hold of the French youngster but have not been able to utilise him in the new season because of injury.
Chelsea still have Kroupi on their radar, though, so Bournemouth could face a fight to keep hold of him next year.
Eli Junior Kroupi quite similar to Joao Pedro
It remains to be seen whether Kroupi would be willing to be Pedro’s deputy, but if the France Under-21 international is, he could be the perfect one.
Kroupi and Pedro are quite similar in the sense that both men are centre-forwards who can drop deep and also start as an attacking midfielder.
Kroupi is still young, but his goal record was good last season. In 33 Premier League appearances, he scored 13 goals.
His record was pretty similar to Pedro’s, with the Brazilian netting 15 times in 35 outings.
Chelsea are also interested in Kroupi’s teammate Alex Scott, so it could be a double raid at Bournemouth in the new year! After failing to sign Lamine Camara on deadline day, the Blues are in need of a new midfielder.
