Chelsea fans all noticed the same thing about Kendry Paez as outcast makes CNG cameo
Kendry Paez is in a difficult position at Chelsea, having returned to the club following a loan at River Plate, with the Blues unable to find him a new club before the deadline closed.
It’s been a difficult 12 months for Paez. Joining the club in the summer of 2023, Paez eventually moved to Chelsea when he turned 18. He went on loan to Strasbourg until January, before joining River Plate.

Before Marcelo Gallardo was sacked…
The loan, designed to make him feel more at home in South America, was due to last until the summer of 2027. However, Paez’s attitude in training has forced River to cancel the loan, and he’s back at Chelsea.
Chelsea fans discuss Kendry Paez’s cameo against Arsenal U21s
Still younger than 21, Ecuador international Paez is eligible to play for Chelsea’s Cobham Next Gen squad. On Saturday afternoon, he came on for the final 20 minutes during the 4-1 win over the young Gunners.

Mahdi Nicoll-Jazuli starred, and Reggie Watson got a brace, as Harry Hudson’s side cruised to a big win. With Chelsea leading, Paez entered the field of play, and videos of his cameo have got to social media.
Fans have discussed his cameo, and while it was only a short time on the pitch, the overriding feeling among supporters is that Paez’s body language was concerning. Here is what some Chelsea fans said:
One fan said he hopes he “fixes his attitude”, while another noticed “he looks too relaxed”. The fan in question believes it was “making him lose the ball too much”, as clips of Paez emerged on Saturday.
Another simply said Paez’s “body language is off”. Clearly, there is a concern over an attitude problem, which reports suggest is largely the reason his loan at River Plate was cancelled and he was told to return.
What Xabi Alonso has said about Kendry Paez
Alonso has been ruthless since taking over at Chelsea, and he had to be. The Blues had an enormous squad and without Europe, the size of the squad needed to be trimmed. Alonso has spoken about Paez.

Asked whether Paez would now be reintegrated, he said: “At the moment, he’s not part of the first-team squad.” When asked if that could change later in the season, he replied: “No, he’s not part of the plans.”
Paez had interest from Celtic in the summer, as well as Turkish side Trabzonspor. Some windows remain open, but it looks as if Paez will remain at Chelsea and work with the club in the CNG until January.
