Why Dastan Satpayev is now back at Chelsea after impressive start to Burnley loan spell
Chelsea wonderkid Dastan Satpayev is now temporarily back at Stamford Bridge despite currently being on loan to Championship strugglers Burnley.
Despite their side making an underwhelming start to the 2026/27 season, Clarets fans have been wowed by Satpayev when he has been given the chance to feature.
He was the player of the match in their draw against Middlesbrough, however did not feature in their last match against Wrexham on Tuesday night.

Why Dastan Satpayev is back at Chelsea right now
It has emerged since that this is because he is back at Cobham, with Scout in Eurasia stating that he is receiving treatment for an injury suffered in his last game against Middlesbrough.
They said: “Dastan Satpayev will temporarily leave Burnley and return to Chelsea. The 18-year-old footballer is returning due to an injury he sustained in the Championship match against Middlesbrough.
“He is expected to return to Burnley after completing his rehabilitation.”
Burnley manager Nicky Hayen has waxed lyrical about Satpayev since having him at his disposal, and will be hoping he is not absent from his squad for too long.

Despite promotion being seen as a realistic possibility, they are currently without a win their first six league games, and sit 23rd in the table.
Satpayev taking the place of a former Chelsea striker
The youngster is in the process of displacing former Chelsea striker Armando Broja from the starting squad, with him still struggling to push on since leaving Stamford Bridge.
The Albanian international was tipped to reach big things when he first broke through in West London, however has not hit the heights expected.
Things move quickly in football, and now Satpayev is the hungry, young forward looking to take minutes from the more experienced players.
This will work in his favour ahead of a return to Chelsea at the end of the season, where he will be looking to make his move into the first team squad.
