It was all smiles in the end for Chelsea in the third round of the League Cup against Leeds United, but one player will be worried about what his future looks like at Stamford Bridge.

Xabi Alonso relied heavily on his superstars off the bench to turn the game around after a laboured first half, with Cole Palmer starring with two goals in quick succession.

A brace from Danny Welbeck as well as strikes from Pedro Neto and Valentin Barco put the game to bed, as Chelsea scored six goals in 41 second half minutes.

What a game! Where do you rank this new Chelsea attack as Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers shine again?

Jamie Gittens will be worried about his Chelsea future

Morgan Rogers was the unsung hero for the Blues, picking up three assists and instantly lifting the levels that were on display from Jamie Gittens before he replaced him.

The England U21 international was making his first start of the season on the left wing, but struggled to make any sort of impact and continued to lose possession.

Gittens unleashed a fierce drive that was saved, but this was the highlight of a 45 minutes which will have done little to impress Alonso.

The difference in levels when Chelsea made their substitutions only further enforced who their strongest attackers are, and Gittens unfortunately does not fit into this category.

Gittens has already asked to leave Chelsea

With the club clearly having faith in both Estevao Willian and Geovany Quenda, opportunities are going to be few and far between for the former Borussia Dortmund man to make his mark.

It has been reported that Gittens actually asked to leave the club over the summer, however did not manage to get either a permanent or loan move.

Roma have been strongly linked with signing the winger, as Chelsea continue to eye Manu Kone as a potential midfield addition going the other way.

The Blues are going to continue to assess signing new attacking options too, and Gittens not taking his chance against Leeds will be worrying for his future.
